MidAmerican provides a whole range of Energy Efficiency Programs for their Iowa and Illinois customers. Some of these rebates apply to ductless mini-split units. Others focus on natural gas furnaces and smart thermostats. Not only do you receive rebates on new qualifying units, you may also receive a rebate on recycling your old unit. Here is a summary of what you need to know for both sides of the river.
2020 Illinois Energy Efficiency Rebate Information
Illinois rebates range from $115 for a smart thermostat to $900 for an air source heat pump. Find more information on which units qualify and how to apply on the official Illinois rebate form.
- Air Source Heat Pump: up to $900 for qualifying units
- Central Air Conditioner: up to $750 for qualifying units
- Ductless Mini Split: : up to $450 for qualifying units
- Natural Gas Furnace: up to $175 for qualifying units
- Smart Thermostat: up to $115 for qualifying units

SummerSaver℠
The SummerSaver℠ programs provide an initial $30 incentive if you allow MidAmerican to adjust your home’s air conditioner or air-source heat pump between 2pm and 7pm from June to the end of September 2020. This process does not apply to weekends and holidays and it is not recommended if you or someone else in your home suffers from asthma, heart disease or respiratory conditions.
